Kara Babb

​As the co-founder of Flying Tiger Partners, Kara Babb is a strategic powerhouse in ecommerce and Amazon growth, blending deep marketplace expertise with brand development, global perspective, and modern tech fluency.

With over a decade of experience across Amazon Vendor Management, high-growth DTC startups, and global enterprise brands, Kara has led transformative ecommerce strategies for companies in Home, Kitchen, Pets, Smart Home, and SaaS technology. She is a trusted partner to both scrappy innovators and Fortune 500 giants.

As a former Amazon Vendor & Category Manager for Home & Kitchen, Kara knows how to decode the retail formula, navigate internal Amazon priorities, and create growth flywheels that drive meaningful results. She's also managed Amazon and omnichannel strategy for brands like Bird Buddy, Zinus, Newell Brands, and Signify (formerly Philips Lighting)—building infrastructures from the ground up and revamping underperforming channels into profitable machines.

Kara brings broad digital fluency across Amazon, DTC, social commerce, and emerging AI-powered shopping platforms. She has designed advertising and retail media strategies for all budget sizes, with a knack for balancing efficiency and scale. Her experience leading cross-functional teams (up to 15 people) and partnering with C-suite executives means she not only executes but elevates.

With a strong foundation in AI tools and automation technologies, Kara also brings a modern, tech-savvy edge to Flying Tiger’s methodology—always focused on productivity without sacrificing the human touch.

Kara holds a Master’s in Mandarin and Business from The Ohio State University, has lived and worked across the U.S. and China, and is fluent in Mandarin. She completed executive education at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and holds a bachelor’s degree in Global Business & Mandarin from the University of Redlands.

Co-founder Nick Gezzar brings a rare blend of Amazon insider experience, CPG brand management, and military-honed leadership to help brands win—both on and off Amazon.

Before founding his consultancy, Nick spent several years at Amazon’s Seattle headquarters, where he served as a Senior Vendor Manager for Apple and Beats by Dre. There, he brokered record-breaking deals, negotiated complex vendor terms, and led growth strategies that significantly scaled two of Amazon’s highest-profile brands. He later transitioned into Amazon Ads as a Senior Account Executive, where he helped major household names unlock millions in incremental sales through precision-targeted advertising and data-led experimentation.

Nick’s foundation in brand building was forged at Procter & Gamble and Lindt & Sprüngli, where he worked across advertising, consumer insights, and category strategy. This gives him an unparalleled understanding of what it takes to build demand, manage product lifecycles, and turn marketing into margin—skills he now applies to global ecommerce strategy for his clients.

A former U.S. Army officer, Nick brings the kind of leadership, discipline, and high-pressure decision-making rarely found in the ecommerce world. His clients value his ability to navigate ambiguity, translate complexity into action, and lead cross-border teams with clarity and impact.
